Mistake # 1: Thinking that Du'a is accepted at first glance from the Ka'bah
Many people have the mistaken idea that the first time they
look at the Kaaba, whatever Du'a they do will be answered. Is not true! This
has no evidence of the Shariah. And any Hadith that one can find with respect
to this matter is extremely weak or fabricated. When asked about Du'a's
acceptance at the first sight of the Ka'bah, Sheikh Sa'd Al-Humayd replied:
"This is not true, there must be evidence for this to
be true, because acts of worship should only be based on evidence, and that
evidence must be Saheeh in itself and must be clear and unequivocal, and Allah
knows best." For the best Hajj And Umrah services please contact Decemberumrah packages 2018
Mistake # 2: "Kiss" the Black Stone from afar and stop during Tawaf to do it
Kissing the Black Stone is a beautiful Sunnah, and an honor
for those who can do it. However, due to the immense crowd, most people can not
reach it. Many people try to "kiss" him from far away. When they are
in line with the Black Stone, they stop in their tracks during Tawaf, face the
Black Stone, put both hands on the side of their head and "kiss" the
Black Stone in the air, as if the Black Stone were in the truth. In front of
them. Or they throw 'flying kisses' to the Black Stone. Besides being a wrong
practice, stopping the flow of Tawaf causes unnecessary interruption and
overcrowding in that area, thus creating a lot of inconvenience for other
pilgrims.
'Remote kissing' is not from the Sunnah, of course. The
whole Prophet (peace be upon him) did it while Tawaf kissed the Black Stone if
he could do it easily, or touched it with his hand and kissed his hand. But
when it was full, he only pointed it out from far away and said: "Allahu
Akbar." That is all.
It was narrated that Abu Tufayl (may Allah be pleased with
him) said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) perform
Tawaf around the house, touching the corner (where the Black Stone is) with a
crooked cane that I had with him, then I kissed the staff. " (Saheeh
Muslim)
Ibn Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah (may peace be
upon him) performed Tawaf on his camel, and every time he came to the corner
(where the Black Stone is) he pointed to it and said Allahu Akbar."
Bukhari, n. ° 4987)
That is all we have to do. If we are far from the Black
Stone, we must point it out with the right hand, say Allahu Akbar and follow.
Not in front of the Ka'bah, without 'kisses at a distance', without stopping in
its tracks. Keep moving and do not interrupt the flow of Tawaaf.
Sheik Bin Baz said: "It should be noted that the Tawaaf
is still perfectly valid without kissing the Black Stone, if one does not kiss
or can not kiss the Black Stone, it is enough to simply point it out, saying
'Allahu Akbar' when one comes parallel to him, although one can be at a
distance from him. "(Fatawa Bin Baz)
Mistake# 3: shout Du'a in unison
Some people scream at the top of their lungs, in unison,
while doing Du'a during Tawaf. They follow an Imam or a leader who calls out
different Du'as aloud, and then all the followers repeat after him in unison.
This causes a lot of confusion and disturbs others who participate in their own
Du'as, which causes them to lose focus and Khushoo '. And, obviously, it is not
convenient for one to shout and raise one's voice in a place as sacred as the
Haram.
The correct thing to do is to know, before going for Tawaf,
the Du'as you want to do, the Qur'an you want to recite, etc. This way you will
not have to follow anyone and you will be making your own Du'a, in your own
language, from your own heart. It will give you better concentration and
satisfaction. Plan your Du'as ahead of time, repeat them to yourself, with
humility and Khushoo '.
After all, you are doing Du'a for the One who listens to
everything and sees everything. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"Each of you is conversing with your Lord, so do not bother with each
other or raise your voices about others when you read (or say) when you
pray" (Abu Dawud, Sahih). by Al-Albani)
Mistake # 4: designate specific days for specific rounds
Some people designate specific Du'as for each round and
there are even books that have specific Du'as written for each round. This is
not something from the Shariah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not recite
any specific Du'a in any of the rounds, nor did his companions. If there was
such a thing, then he would have told us, and he would have done it first.
The only Du'a he specified during Tawaf was when he reached
the end of each circuit between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone. He said:
"Rabbana atina 'fid-dunya hasana wa fil-akhirati hasana wa qina
adhaban-nar (Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter and
save us from the punishment of Fire)."
Mistake # 5: Doing Tawaf on behalf of someone else
Many people make this mistake. They circulate the Ka'bah
seven times and then donate the reward of this Tawaf to their loved ones, their
family members or their deceased relatives. Also, when people go to Haj or
Umrah, their family and friends specifically ask them to "do a Tawaaf on
their behalf." This is not valid and there is no evidence of its
permissibility. Only Haj and Umrah can be done on behalf of others, but Tawaf
individually can not be done by another person.
Sheikh Bin Baz said, "Tawaf around the Kaaba can not be
done by proxy, so no one can do Tawaf on behalf of another person, unless he
does Haj or Umrah on his behalf, in which case he can do it in his name along
with the rest of Haj or Umrah. "(Fatawa Bin Baz)
Mistake # 6: Multiple Umrahs
Some people perform multiple Umrah after finishing theirs,
going out of Mecca to Masjid Ayesha (Tan'eem) or other Meeqat points to put on
a new Ihram and perform more Umrahs again and again. Some people do an Umrah
every day, some more! This is not from the Sunnah and not from the practice of
the Sahabah.
If it were good to do multiple Umrahs in one trip, surely
the Prophet (peace be upon him) would have done it and the Sahabah would have
done it too. But we see that, although the Prophet (peace be upon him) remained
in Mecca for 19 days after the Conquest, however, he did not leave Mecca to
perform Umrah, although he could have done it easily.
Sheikh Bin Uthaymeen said: "Ibn Taymiyah mentions that
the Salaf agree that it is not recommended to do multiple Umrahs." In any
case, leaving Mecca and going to the limit of the sacred precincts to do a
second or third Umrah is a practice unfounded that was unknown during the time
of the Prophet (peace be upon him) The only exception to this was the case
where Ayesha requested permission to do only one Umrah after Haj due to special
circumstances. to perform Umrah in this way, the Prophet (peace be upon him)
would have encouraged his Companions to do so. "
Actually, instead of doing multiple Umrahs, it would be
better to perform as many Tawaf as you can for yourself. Tawaaf is an act of
worship that can not be done anywhere except Mecca and this is a golden
opportunity.
Ibn Taymiyah said: "The Salaf agree that performing a
voluntary Tawaaf is superior to going to Al-Tan`eem or to the boundaries of the
sacred precincts and doing Umrah." (Majmu Al-Fatawa)
Mistake # 7: Thinking that the Jamarat are demons
When some people go to stone the Jamarat, they think they
are going to stone the demons. In fact, they think they are stoning Iblees!
They even call this ritual, "to stone the Shaitan." That is not true.
The Jamarat are not demons. Everything we do when we stoned these Jamarat is an
act of remembering Allah, following the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
as an act of worship. That's. There is no need to get excited, there is no need
to curse in the Jamarat, there is no need to push and push.
Mistake# 8: touch or clean the Kaaba
Some people touch the Ka'bah or Maqam Ibrahim thinking there
are blessings in it. They also touch and clean their hands on the pillars of
the Great Mosque or the Mosque of the Prophet and then they clean their hands
thinking that this is a good thing. This is another act without any basis in
the Shariah of Islam. The Prophet (peace be upon him) did nothing of this. If
it was good, I would have done it. But he did not, so neither will we.
The blessings come from following what Allah and His
Messenger (peace be upon him) have prescribed, and not introducing innovations.
Mistake# 9: Thinking that praying 40 prayers in Madina is obligatory
Some people think that it is necessary to complete 40
prayers in the Mosque of the Prophet and that this is necessary and part of
Haj. It is not. This is based on a weak Hadith. Nor is it necessary to complete
40 prayers or visit Madina as part of Haj. Obviously, it is good if you can
spend as much time as you can in Madina and pray as much as you can in the
Mosque of the Prophet, but to think that one has to complete 40 sentences is
not correct.
Sheikh Bin Baz said: "The generalized idea that the
visitor should stay for eight days to be able to offer 40 prayers in the mosque
is wrong, although he says in some hadiths that" whoever offers 40 prayers
there, Allah will decree that he is safe from the fire and free from hypocrisy
", it should be known that this Hadith is Da'eef (weak) according to the
scholars and can not be taken as evidence or trusted. There is no established
limit to visit the Prophet's Mosque. visit for one or two hours, or a day or
two, or for more than that, there's nothing wrong with that. "(Fatawa Bin
Baz)
